The prominent building stands adjacent to The Hague’s landmark railway station Hollandsch Spoor.

Think
The prominent building stands adjacent to The Hague’s landmark railway station Hollandsch Spoor. This building formerly served as the Dutch Post Office’s mail distribution center for The Hague and surrounding areas. The building became redundant when mail distribution switched from the rail to the road network.

New Concept:
Outdoor & Travel Center (8,000 m²): a themed retail center where the visitor can find everything related to outdoor sports products, outdoor travel agencies and adventure and travel-related topics. The anchor tenant of the center is the largest Bever Zwerfsport store in the Netherlands at 2,800 m². Other tenants are the operators of a climbing wall and a gigantic diving basin.

Urban Offices (16,000 m²): loft offices. Here TCN shows the elements of adventure in the building’s ambiance and atmosphere: solid, open spaces, rough and industrial with a modern character.

Make
The Globe Outdoor & Travel Center and Urban Offices forms part of a larger development scheme being undertaken by TCN with a total area of 60,000 m². This is one of the Netherlands’ largest redevelopment projects. It will be a workplace for well over 1,600 people and the retail center will attract 200,000 visitors per year. The PTT Building continues to occupy 32,000 m² of the project. The PTT Building was sold in 2006.
