ZEP Vrijetijdspark

Think
ZEP is a Retail & Leisure Park in Middelburg, located at the main entrance road to the city.
A school for vocational education (ROC) forms part of the project.
The project will be the all-weather leisure accommodation for both the inhabitants of the province of Zeeland and tourists.

Size:
GLA of the project is approximately 18.000m2 (12.000m2 leisure and 6,000m2 retail). The ROC (Regional Education Center) adds another 10,000m2.

Phase:
The building permit is irrevocable and we are ready to start.

The making of
The architect is NIO Architecten. The architectural design will include the elements and characteristics that the area is known for: wind, water and air. The Zep Tower is a landmark for the local ‘Zeeuwse’ flat landscape.

Challenges
Creative spatial and architectural solutions are required in order to accommodate the variety of
functions. Therefore, we are looking for a spatial design that creates optimal synergy between the various functions, while maintaining the building's multi-functionality.

ZEP combines a Music Hall (discotheque), the National Football Museum, ‘Miniature Zeeland’, Fitness Center, outdoor activities, retail and (fast food) Restaurants.
