Since 2001 TCN owns the Data Hotel Groningen and from 2004 we actually run the complete operation. Since then the 10,000 SQM data center was fully leased to multiple users varying in size from 1 suite to 13 suites. The suites are comparable to hotel suits and provide optimum privacy. In a TCN Data center we guarantee power, cooling and space.

In 2009 the main customer moved to one of our custom made data center facilities. We had the chance to upgrade the facility to a center for multiple tenants. This multi user facility suits the current market.

Make:
In Q4 2009 for the second time in it’s life circle the data center has been updated to make it more energy efficient, reliable and suitable for multiple users. These users nowadays require reliable operations, flexibility in space and power at an affordable price. This has been translated in a more reliable electrical system, innovative cooling system and flexible workstations and meeting rooms. The users have their own data center space with the benefits of the attractive total costs of operations and without losing identity.

Our own TCN team is responsible for the complete operation of Data Hotel Groningen during it’s life circle. With our own technical personnel and 24/7 contracts, which provide security and maintenance, the reliability and safety are guaranteed for 99,982 % of the time.

A Data Hotel is a place which supplies Energy, Cooling and Connections to ICT companies. In the data center users are able to place their IT equipment, connect with each other and connect to the internet. The data center provides a good, reliable and secure service to the user in accordance with the conditions defined in the co-location agreement.
