The Spaanse Kubus is a multi use building of almost 50.000 sqm, which main function is data center. A data center is a place which supplies Energy, Cooling and Connections to ICT companies. Secondary functions are (data center related) flexible offices and storage.
This concept is the same as the ‘TCN SIG Telehouse’ concept except for its size and capacity. This new data storage and hosting center is 3 times as large as the Telehouse in Groningen.

Platforms are the vehicles to connect the very specific demands of this market to real estate. We have to identify the specifics of the target group and translate that into specific and thematic real estate solutions.
Given current market situation with an abundance of dysfunctional or non-performing real estate it seems logic to choose the context approach and not the product approach that use to be practice within TCN.
