Living out in the countryside
Arnhems Buiten is a former estate, beautifully situated on the line between the Rhine river and dam.
It is located between the districts of Arnhem and Renkum, where an office park was erected, which was unique to Holland in terms of history and nature. The park is exceptionally beautiful and features a wealth of monuments, art, rare trees and lawns. It provides a pleasant working and living environment.
Size:
Arnhems Buiten covers an area of 55 hectares, of which only 9% is developed. The park consists of four areas: Den Brink, Mariëndaal, De Hes and Rosande. The Den Brink area has several magnificent monumental buildings. 90,000 m², of which 76,000 m² leasable floor space.

Control/improve
Over the next ten years TCN will be responsible for the intensive redevelopment of Arnhems Buiten, especially for the creation of new living and working space without spoiling the green character of the park.
The making of:
The park dates back to 1392. At the beginning of the 20th century the Baron and Baroness Van Pallandt van Waldorf became the owners of the park. From 1930 it was owned by KEMA. Building on the estate will be increased, with an eye for unity in architecture and, always, with respect to nature. Since 2005 the park has belonged to TCN.
Challenges:
Creating a single integrated concept for the park, taking its unique elements (nature, tranquillity, park and water) into account and allowing the conjunction of the residence and work functions on a high level of service.
Care
Partners:
TCN@Work is working closely with the local authorities of Arnhem and Renkum on the development of the master planning. We are also collaborating with Bam and Giesbers on the implementation of the development plan.
Tenants:
A variety of tenants is attracted to the park: architects’ firms, energy-related organisations, IT companies, and service providers such as day-care centres.
For example: KEMA, BD Architecten, Human Inference, Wiegerinck Architecten, Gelders Archief, Kasteel Kiekeboe, Phase to Phase.
Property management:
The park is managed by TCN Management, allowing optimal fulfilment of the users’ modern needs. Furthermore, an excellent state of repair and first-class and swift service are guaranteed. The latter range from general services, such as sanitation, glass-cleaning and reception, to specific requirements, such as get-togethers with delicious tapas in a cosy restaurant.
Events:
A variety of yearly events takes place in Arnhems Buiten, such as the annual spring run, a race for personnel working in the park.
